I'm Dr. Aaron Bauer, a gecko expert and Biology professor. My lifelong fascination with reptiles began on Long Island, New York. As a child, I was drawn to amphibians and reptiles, particularly geckos.
I've dedicated my career to understanding these creatures, describing more new reptile species than any living scientist. Beyond geckos, my research encompasses broader biotic diversity and contributes to our understanding of life on Earth.
I'm also part of the Atlas of Life project, compiling data on over 10,000 reptile species globally. My journey continues with ongoing research projects and a commitment to inspiring future herpetologists.
